I just received an email from Delta Air Lines with some good news for those of us who are Medallion and fly Delta from Boston from time to time.

“We reconfigured the airport lobby to better serve you. Now, you’ll notice separate check-in counters and security areas for Delta Sky Priority® and Delta Shuttle®, as well as a dedicated security line for TSA PreCheck

As a Medallion® member, you’ll always enjoy access to the Sky Priority lane. You also may use the Delta Shuttle lane when taking advantage of our convenient, daily shuttle flights to New York-LaGuardia (LGA), Chicago-O’Hare (ORD) or Washington, D.C.-Reagan National (DCA).

If you haven’t already, be sure to opt in to TSA PreCheck, a screening initiative that could simplify the security process. Just update your Secure Flight Passenger Data in your SkyMiles profile. Then, you could be eligible to enjoy the convenience and speed of an expedited security lane.

Thank you for choosing Delta. We look forward to serving you soon.”

Good news for Delta Medallions flying from Boston. I’ve posted about PreCheck before. And while I wish there was a way to always assure that you get picked for PreCheck, right now, there is not. There’s always a risk that even if you check all the right boxes and really are “low risk” you’ll get sent to the routine screening lane. But as it stands now, I’d much rather get selected for PreCheck than not. I can use the extra time in the club to get work done if nothing else.
