As you know, I just returned from 2 great weeks aboard Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas. I am already working on a full review of the cruise complete with pictures, onboard newsletters, etc. Knowing some may be considering a cruise on Adventure in the near future, I wanted to get a few words out there about my experiences over 14 nights on board.
Highlights
The Service – Without exception, every crewmember I came into contact with was unfailingly smiling and eager to please.
The Concierge Lounge – The lounge atmosphere was excellent. Never too crowded, but with fun people, interesting conversation, and top-notch service. Bravo to Sucel, Damion, and Lorena!
Dining –Â Our dining room service was fantastic. Special shout out to Inyoman and Curtis! Bar servers were splendid, especially the pool bar. Portofino, the Italian specialty restaurant was even better than I remembered from other cruises.
The Itineraries – Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, and so many more! A beautiful time of year in the Caribbean. It did rain in San Juan, but once we sailed south, the weather was beautiful, if a little windy when sailing in the evenings.
Seriously, I have no complaint about this ship or the cruise experience. The ship will undergo a dry dock in March 2014 where she’ll receive a refresh including some of Royal Caribbean’s “Designed for WOW” updates. The ship will then appear in Miami for a couple of cruises before repositioning to Europe for the summer season. I can’t wait to see the new updates! If you’re considering a cruise on Adventure of the Seas, go for it! Stay tuned for my full review.
