Delta Air Lines is launching global wi-fi today on select 747-400 flights to Tokyo from Atlanta and Los Angeles. Delta has three 747-400 aircraft complete, which also operate between Detroit and Seoul, Nagoya, and Tokyo as well as JFK to Tel Aviv and Tokyo.

Delta is offering introductory pricing options that range from one hour passes for laptop users as low as $14.00, and a mobile user option for $8.00. Passes for the entire flight will start at $24.95 for laptop users and$14.95 for mobile users. According to Delta, it expects all of its 747-400 aircraft will have wi-fi installed by mid-2014. Further, the airline expects its entire international fleet to have wi-fi installed by the end of 2015.
