Royal Caribbean has ordered a fourth ship for its Quantum Class family of ships. The ship will be delivered in 2019. From the press release:
“Today’s announcement is a reflection of the success of the first two Quantum-class ships,” said Richard D. Fain, Chairman and CEO, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. “We have received a remarkable response from travel agent partners and travelers, and are thrilled that we’ll be able to deliver another revolutionary ship with our partners at Meyer Werft.”
While I expect that the fourth Quantum Class ship will offer many of the same amenities as her sister ships, it is not unusual for ship design to evolve a bit over the delivery cycle of a complete class of ships. You can count me solidly in the court of Quantum Class fans as evidenced my by Quantum of the Seas review.
