I recently sampled Delta’s international business class service, Delta One, from Detroit to Paris. Delta’s catering has been pretty solid in recent years, and I was excited to sample Delta’s international offering to Paris to kick off our Parisian and trans-Atlantic cruising adventure. This was followed by a fresh mixed green salad and corn soup.

I chose the beef tenderloin for the main course. This was accompanied by lobster mac and cheese and buttered asparagus. Everything tasted great, but the steak was dry.

I went against conventional wisdom for dessert and passed on the ice cream sundae. Instead, I opted for a fruit and cheese plate which was just right, especially when it was accompanied by the wonderful Bordeaux served during the flight.

I know there were children who probably had a nothing to eat at all today, will never see the inside of a plane, and probably sleep every on a pile of dirt every night. Please don’t complain.
As far as desert choice… you should have had both.
I question why delta serves on those tacky faux wood trays instead of just on the linen like with your appetizer and desert. I think it would look much better.

Never been a fan of those “wood” trays either. Wouldn’t say they bother me….but I don’t love them.
