I visited the Admirals Club airport lounge in San Francisco.

Prospecting for Admirals Club membership:

I don’t have membership so I thought it would be good to see if it should supplement or replace my present lounge access.

Checked in at the lower level and then went up in the elevator. There were 2 representatives as we exited the elevator, possibly for helping people with ticketing issues.

Not sure why there would be 2 people sitting there on a quiet day.

The lounge is a very pleasant space. Nice wood paneling, vegetation in the gaps between chairs, different seating options all around.

The clean up staff were really efficient with tidying away items that we had finished with.

Food choices:

We were there quite early so there were regular breakfast items available. Nice fruit, yoghurt, boiled eggs, cereal, baked goods, oatmeal and a variety of hot food like eggs, potatoes, sausage, etc.

Coffee and tea options were also available. A very nicely set out arrangement.

This area was further into the lounge with snacks and flavored water available.

There is also a bar area which was quiet at this time of morning but I am sure picked up as the day went on.

Other areas:

There are 2 booths for making phone calls. A nice idea because you know how loud some people can get when they are on the phone.

This is the office setup. 4 desk spaces with plug points and a printer available for printing tickets and documents.

There is also a quiet zone which was really nice and quiet. There are I think 5 bays with almost lay flat beds available for relaxing.

This was the view outside the windows. Different garden sections which is a really nice change from the normal concrete surfaces.

Initial conclusion:

The food choices were really nice and the variety of area options available were also impressive.  I would love to be able to eat in the Admirals Club regularly. It is intriguing to see what they might offer at dinner time. I must see which card might be the best for me to sign up for to get Admirals Club membership. I think they are all $500 to $650 per year so I will have to evaluate how many times I will use it per year.

It was a very impressive first time in Admirals Club.
